Let's talk about weight loss...

Dieting doesn't work does it? If it did there wouldn't be the need for so many diets and books on the market would there? Around 95% of people who lose weight through dieting will eventually regain their weight (generally finding themselves even heavier than when they started - how depressing is that?).

There has to be a better way. And there is... weight loss hypnotherapy! It's easier than you can imagine to lose that unwanted weight easily and effortlessly. And keep it off.

Using the power of your mind I can help you change your relationship with food... permanently! You will find yourself feeling in control when making choices around food; enjoying your meals; experiencing increased self confidence and finding yourself with much more energy and motivation. Dietary deprivation will be a thing of the past. Why be at war with food? It's lovely stuff so start learning to enjoy it... in moderation!

Using a combination of hypnotherapy, visualisation and suggestion you will find yourself eating less, enjoying your food more and reaching your goal target weight easily and effortlessly. Book in now for a free initial consultation allowing you to meet me. We can discuss your needs and develop a programme that will work for you. Do remember that YOU hold the key to losing the weight... I give you the tools to work with and, when these are followed, just watch those unwanted kilos dissolve!

Emotional Eating

Emotional eating. It's an expression used a lot now but what does it actually mean?

If you find yourself at home and rummaging in the fridge or the pantry looking for a quick fix of food, but you're not actually hungry, then it's emotional eating. If you're sitting on the couch watching TV and you start thinking about what you can graze on, even though it's only been 90 minutes since you finished your dinner, that is emotional eating. None of that extra food is able to be utilised by your body so it's all stored as fat.

Eating Disorders or Serious Issues with Eating or Drinking

If you have a more serious long term problem with your eating or drinking, or perhaps you have an eating disorder such as bulimia or anorexia, then you would benefit most from a course of therapy with me. This therapy can help you to fully resolve your issues with eating and self-image, leaving you free to enjoy a more stable and relaxed approach to eating and drinking.

Come in and we can have a chat about the options available to you allowing you to sort this once and for all. I can show you how to easily manage your thinking processes and take control!

At my Melbourne weight loss clinic I offer a free consultation for you to meet me and discuss your weight loss options. There is no obligation on either your part or mine! Call me on 0409 254 500 to book an appointment.

I initially met with Liz looking for assistance with emotional eating. After discussing the situation with Liz she prompted me to think about what was the root cause and this lead us to discuss undertaking the Thrive program. I can only say that "Thrive" is incredible and a life changing approach and has cemented a new mindset which lead to a very easy way to overcome years worth of emotional eating.
Anyone out there who is looking to take control of their life, improve their self esteem, overcome any social phobia and really embed change in their life this is the ultimate program. Don't hold off because of worry that you don't have time (I did the 5 week program with Liz whilst my daughter was only 10 weeks old) or don't think you can call or whatever the reason may be, Thrive will change your life forever.
Thanks again Liz for your caring nature and straight talking approach to getting the most out of life!

I went to Liz because I wanted more willpower to lose weight. I had lost weight before through exercise and healthier eating but it was the eating part that was the most difficult for me to sustain and I would put the weight back on.
Three months on from my sessions with Liz I have lost 2 stones (13 kg) which is great but the best part is that Liz has helped me change how I view and eat my food to the point that I not only believe I will achieve my goal but I will also maintain it. I love food, always have and always will - the difference now is that I do eat everything I enjoy but in moderation - my eating speed has slowed down tremendously which means I end up eating a lot less because I realise I'm full.
Liz can definitely help you achieve your goals if you work with her and remember it is you that makes your food choices and it is you that does the exercise.
Liz really has helped me to change my life and for that I am very grateful.

Since I first saw Liz 8 months ago I have stabilised my weight and my life by changing the way I think. I am tempted to say it was easy, because in one sense, it was. Hypnotism helped me start the process of changing unhelpful thinking habits. I now realise my thought patterns were building my anxiety and I was ignoring my body signals that told me I was not hungry. I also held unhelpful beliefs like "eat all the food on your plate", "more is better", "eating fat is bad you" - beliefs I have held since I was a child (nd that are still being promoted through advertising and other social pressures today). I lost my targetted 25kg in 4 months, and I am still at my desired weight today - a weight I last saw in my youth.

I spent about 2 hours per week on average, over the last 8 months, doing the learning and mental exercises that were necessary to change my thinking. I started with several hypnotherapy sessions with Liz which quickly kicked off the behaviour changes I needed to start losing weight. I describe hypnosis as a calming process that helps me get in touch with the thinking that occurs "underneath" my concious thinking - while still leaving me aware at all times. After my initial sessions, I was then able to do my learning via reading and listening to a CD, with phone and email support from Liz as needed - something that was important to me as I live in regional Victoria.

Once my eating behaviour was under control, I started the Thrive program, also provided by Liz. Thrive has led to a measured reduction in my anxiety of 65 % over 4 months, as well as improving my confidence. In my opinion, there is no magic wand for reducing weight. The appoach taken by Liz has provided me with the tools that I needed to change my life for the better - mentally and physically. I had tried different diets and exercise programs over the last 10 years, but never reached the condition I am in now, as I was not addressing the root cause. In the past, I would feel guilty about drifting "off-program" after a while, which exacerbated my anxiety, so I resumed overeating. Now I do not feel guilt - I feel trust in my body and mind. I have already saved more money than it cost me for Liz's consultations, through eating and drinking less. I enjoy life more now, feel younger, and still enjoy eating and drinking whatever I like - I just have less than I used to because I have changed my thinking and listen to my body. If you have reached the point where you realise it is your own thinking that is holding you back, and you are prepared to do the learning and exercises necessary to change it, I thorougly recommend that you consult Liz for hypnotherapy and Thrive.
